Ordinary business visa
An ordinary business visa is issued to foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation for business purposes (negotiations, holding conferences or meetings with business partners, etc.).
This visa is issued on the basis of an invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (MVD) or a direct written invitation from a Russian host organization.
It can be single or double with a validity period of 90 days or for multiple entries and valid for 1 year and more.
Please note: You cannot stay in the Russian Federation on a multiple-entry visa for more than 90 days in a 180-day period.
Crews of planes, ships and drivers of international transport, train staff also travel to Russia with business visas. In the case of crew members, the current situation requires the presentation of an invitation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs or a document from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (provisional applications for inclusion of crew members on the lists are submitted by the Russian host organization through the supervising ministries).
A business visa is also issued to citizens traveling to Russia for medical treatment.
List of required documents:
1. Application form for visa. It is filled out on the website visa.kdmid.ru, printed and attached to the documents. Pay attention to the correct indication of the place of application (the Embassy). Application forms prepared for the Visa Application Center will not be accepted.
2. Passport. Must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for a further 6 months from the visa expiry date.
3. Travel insurance covering the entire period of stay in Russia. The insurance must contain at least the following information: full name of the insured, insurance number, validity period, region of coverage (for instance, Russia or the whole world etc.).
4. Min. 1 color photograph 35 x 45 mm on a light background. In Denmark, such a photograph is often referred to as a "passport photo".
5. Direct written invitation from the host organization or alternatively an invitation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Direct written invitation. This document must be presented on the official form and contain full information about the inviting organization as well as the following data:
For the invited person: name, surname, date of birth, gender, nationality, identity document number, purpose and duration of the visit, number of registrations, route.
For a legal entity (Russian company or organization) issuing an invitation, the following must be provided: the full name of the legal entity, its address, individual taxpayer number (TIN), registration number, name and position of the person signing the invitation, and seal of the organization.
Invitation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (MVD) can also be accepted. This document is issued by the MVD (police in Russia) based on an application from the Russian organization that would like to invite you to Russia.
A business visa is also issued to citizens traveling to Russia for medical treatment. In this case, an invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is required, as well as a letter from the medical organization itself, confirming an agreement on hospitalization / course of treatment.
Note - if you are not a Danish citizen, you must present a document confirming the right to stay in Denmark for a period of more than 90 days (residence permit, letter from the migration authority, etc.). A permanent residence permit and fully prepaid hotel reservation and tickets are required from citizens of the following countries: Algeria, Angola, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Georgia, India, Iraq, Iran, China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Syria, Somalia, Chad, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia (also if they have Danish aliens passport).
